Derek Irish — Derek is the West Region Managing Director, the Managing Director of the Houston office, and Senior Partner of Blue Trust. As Managing Director, Derek is responsible for the client service, growth, and expansion of the company’s office in Houston, Texas, and across the Western U.S. region. This includes providing leadership and oversight of offices in Phoenix, Arizona; Orange County, California; and Seattle, Washington.

In addition to his leadership role, Derek uses his experience in investment, retirement, estate, and cash flow planning to develop custom financial strategies for individuals, families, and businesses. Derek understands the complex questions and issues surrounding comprehensive financial planning and investment advisement, so he works with his clients to help them make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy.

Derek also serves on the company’s Investment Advisory Group.

Prior to joining Blue Trust in 1998, Derek was a Senior Manager with Accenture, working with clients on large-scale, multi-million dollar corporate re-engineering projects. His primary responsibility was the design and implementation of custom financial and business strategies for leading companies across the country.

Derek graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a BS in Finance and Chemical Engineering. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and is a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®). Derek is also a certified member of Kingdom Advisors.

Active in his community, Derek is a frequent speaker at financial planning seminars and is a member and teacher at his local church. When not spending time with his family, he also enjoys running, tennis, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing, and playing guitar.

Scott Lindsey — For almost 28 years, Scott Lindsey has been the Executive Director for Logos – the worldwide leader in resources and tools for exegesis and theological studies. The world has gone digital and Scott's ministry is to bring your preaching, teaching, and personal Bible study into the digital now.

He has personally trained the ministries of John MacArthur, Ed Stetzer, Tim Keller, Matt Chandler, Kay Arthur, Charlie Dates, John Piper, and many others including a lengthy list of NFL starting QBs (Scott is a sports guy, so he had to throw that in!) Scott earned an MBA w/ honors and graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Masters in Biblical and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary. He also served his country for eight years in the U.S. Air Force. Scott has been married to his sweetheart, Michelle, for 34 years and has raised 9 children. He is “Papow” to 10 amazing grandchildren. Scott & Michelle are determined to make their home the favorite grandkid hang-out and are building the best petting zoo at their home in Lynden, Washington - “currently” with 5 bunnies, 3 alpacas, 3 Valais Blacknose sheep, 3 pigmy goats, 2 potbelly pigs, and 32 chickens. And it is rumored (and true) that they once owned a kangaroo.

Mark Palmer — Mark is a process consultant and publisher who helps organizations run better. He has designed dashboards for universities, launched information products, and written about business process improvement. Mark also co‑founded Trinity Classical School of Houston, where he has supported governance and growth. At Houston's First, he is a deacon and Bible teacher.
